The group began its journey in 2005 with Ingeniería Avanzada Solar S.L., a construction company of photovoltaic solar trackers and manager of renewable plants.
With the evolution of the economic laws framework for renewable and alternative energies, the group's activity diversified, creating Petroprix Energía S.L. in 2013, an Andalusian company specialized in the construction and operation of “low cost” automatic gas stations. In this regard, in 2014, Petronics Tecnología S.L. as executing entity of the automatic and automated systems that the group would need to carry out its activity. Petronics began its activity as a construction and installation company carrying out the implementation of the Petroprix gas stations, and as a development company investigating and manufacturing the systems that provide automation to them.
Thus, Petronics arises from the need to respond to the technological development of Petroprix service stations, which both software and hardware have been their own development.
It is responsible for the implementation of technological systems applied to automatic refueling, including aspects of economic transactionality and the development of technologies related to active safety and control systems in these service stations. For two years, the business group has been diversifying its activities with two new businesses, the insurance company Hello Auto Insurance Group SA, the first Insurtech in Spain licensed by the General Directorate of Insurance (DGS) and Global Payment Systems, a Fintech of services of payment with authorization from the Bank of Spain.
In this sense, Hello Auto Connect (aka HAC) was born, the first aftermarket connected vehicle device for Hello Auto Insurance Group, the first insurtech in Spain. HAC is an assistant to driving and telemetry device that allows optimizing and adding value and business intelligence to such a traditional sector, such as insurance.
At this moment there are infinite possibilities of creating a connected car ecosystem, as we are already seeing with Smart Cities, smart cities. With the development of this connected car platform, it can be said that Petronics is the first company to create a cloud platform capable of communicating with the device implemented in the vehicle and obtaining information on the parameters of speeds, accelerations, location, images. … Being able to create a new security system based on the parameters obtained and to be able to offer solutions to drivers in order to improve their driving behavior and improve the efficiency of this.
